Hot on the heels of their acclaimed 'Signal Failure' 12 (November '05), Padded Cell keep up the pace with their new single, 'Are You Anywhere?', due for release on DC Recordings on the 10th April 2006.

For this ante meridian excursion, necromancers Richard Sen & Neil Beatnik gather their legions of the un-dead for another trip to Beelzebub's Discotheque, a small hours speakeasy where the flotsam and jetsam of the night congregate beneath a canopy of tribal rhythms and nocturnal sounds.

For 'Are You Anywhere?', tight rhythms and a disco funk bass-line come together to provide the perfect vehicle for Padded Cell's trademark synth stylings and hypnotic atmospherics. By setting up this undulating club groove, the dastardly duo lure the listener into a false sense of security before going for the jugular with some vicious horn stabs and percussive slashes; beware, this is the macabre sound of dark magic.

On the flipside the characteristically spell-binding 'Konkorde Lafayette' draws the listener yet deeper into the confines of the Padded Cell. As the drums punch out a gritty rhythm, bass, vocal samples, saxophone and staccato guitars creep into the mix, creating a backdrop for a mesmerising synth arpeggio that marks out as a future club classic.

Work is currently underway on the debut Padded Cell album due for release on DC Recordings later this year.
