Dean Meredith makes his debut appearance under the White Light Circus alias. Having already received critical acclaim for his work with Andy Meechhan (The Emperor Machine) under the Big Two Hundred & Chicken Lips pseudonyms, the multi-monikered Mr Meredith now turns his attention to his first solo outing for DC Recordings.

Marching Orders honours the heyday of the 12" Italo disco mix but maintains a modern mood as a crisp drum-machine rhythm and handclaps merge with sparse guitars and subtle sound effects, all driven by a weighty robotic bassline.

Opening with stripped-down drums, phased cabasa & an ascending Kraftwerk-esque string line, 'The Shot!' builds into a mid-tempo electro-disco amalgation that evokes memories of Will Powers 'Adventures In Success' or Cloud One's 'Patty Duke'.
