The next band downstairs was Pop Tarts - three-girls-meet-a-boy punk pop band from Germany. Before their set, the drummer of Poptarts warmed up enthusiastically on the dancefloor during the set of Larrys. I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but in the end Pop Tarts started over half an hour late behind the schedule. During their previous visit to Finland the band had made an sympathetic impression. This time the infernal volume the festival mixer conjured up made the experience almost painful.
